A Berlin memoir…

Every now and then, even busy studio musicians like Scarlet Mill get the chance to take a break and seek inspiration elsewhere. And so we did! In early December we had a rare opportunity to attend a concert by the epic band Radiohead in Berlin. And to make the most of this trip, it was combined with an impressive personal tour about Remarkable Women from our good friend Patricia; a deepdive in David Bowie’s Berlin history with Bowie-fan guide Jacob and as extra treat an extensive tour INSIDE the famous Hansa Studio’s, so strongly associated with David Bowie’s Berlin trilogy (Low, Heroes, Lodger). We were totally immersed in the sound and musical history of this studio, we couldn’t stop listening to the bands that inspired Bowie in those days (Tangerine Dream, Nue). So, our next song is in the making, and – not surprisingly – with great emphasis on that 70’s synthsound.
